Glued laminated timber elements

Glued laminated timber elements are used in solid timber construction. They are made from boards of a certain thickness and width which are stacked upright next to each other and glued together with adhesives. This type of solid structural timber is also known as glulam and is used to create both load-bearing and non-load-bearing exterior and interior walls, as well as ceiling and roof structures.
